Former MOMOLAND member Yeonwoo is teaching her fans the proper way of washing their hands in an albeit cute public service announcement video titled “Rub and Wash Hands” to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.

In the video, the 23-year-old singer and actress dance to the full choreography using only her hands throughout the one-minute song making it easier for her supporters to follow.

The song goes, “Interlace fingers of both hands with white soap bubbles / wash both hands together / From the palm and back of the hands / to fingers / rub and wash hands.

“It's easy and simple. / Please don't forget / to wash our hands cleanly and faithfully.”

On November 30, Yeonwoo left K-pop girl group MOMOLAND together with fellow member Taeha. Despite leaving the group, she is still being handled by Korean entertainment agency, MLD, and is focusing her career as an actress.

Aside from Yeonwoo, Monsta X members Shownu and Changkyun also took to their social media accounts to teach their fans the proper way of handwashing.

In a short clip in their official Twitter account, the Korean pop singers are seen singing to the tune of “Happy Birthday” in Korean.

They wrote, “To prevent COVID-19, you need to wash your hands for 30-seconds to the 'Happy Birthday' song. Shall we practice together?”

In a report made by the World Health Organization (WHO), respiratory diseases like coronavirus spread when mucus containing the virus gets into your body through the eyes, nose, or throat. Most often, through your hands.

That is why, according to the agency of the United Nations, washing your hands with soap and water is one of the cheapest, easiest, and most important ways to prevent the spread of the virus.
